Shoulder Pain

Pain either deep inside your shoulder or sometimes in your upper arm, either round the front or to the side?

Rotator cuff related pain

Usually sore with movement; things like lifting your arm up out to the side or reaching behind your back. Can be sore to lay on the affected side at night time

Frozen shoulder

Also known as adhesive capsulitis. Extremely sore usually around the front of your shoulder and you will feel very restricted in your movement.

Acromioclavicular joint

This may be a result of a sprain following a fall or somethings it can be a build up of using the shoulder a lot throughout your life.

Labral tear

Usually as a result of a fall or some kind of trauma. Can show on scans incidentally as we get older.

Biceps tendonitis

Movement of the arm can cause discomfort on the front of your shoulder where the bicep muscle attaches to the bone. This pain is often as a result of your bigger shoulder muscles not working as well as they could be.

Arthritis

May feel stiff in the morning time and overall a reduced range of movement compared to when you were younger. Can happen gradually as we get older.
